So - Windstorm was last seen July 28, 2021. So much more recently than this thread was posted too.

I can see that Steerhide went through the same critique here as FQHH, before the time that I was a member.
In truth, Steerhide was my first love with...
Looks very comfortable for a flight.
Glad I'm not the only one who flies on occassion wearing a leather jacket the whole time.
Question - does anyone ever ask about your jacket? I would think being that very neat style of Thedi that someone would.
No problem! I get that 100%. I have a J23 and while it's a very nice, nearly indestructable jacket, it does not have much in the way of personality. The brown he offers is rather flat, middle "brown" and the patterns do not lend themselves to a more fashionable style. It does tick the box as...
Canuck Panda - How do you like the Black Jerky HH on your Indian Ranger?
It sure looks sharp, and in the photo you provided appears to "drape" and mold pretty well.
How old is it aproxametly?
I have an IR in CXL FQHH (Not offered that way anymore) and have wondered about using Jerky HH for...
Call the Museum directly. That is how I obtained mine.
Funny but there was very little intrest, here or on ebay, when I decided to sell my jacket.
Be aware this wool lining is a blanket-type lining.
I suspect that is what happened here. I tried to ask what the size was of the boots before buying them, the seller could only tell me "11" I took a chance at the price point.
Now listed on ebay too, but a better deal here:

Here is a confusing pair of White's Farmer-Rancher boots, that are "tried on new" with detached tags & black nylon laces, but no original box. Catch & release on this from ebay, details were scarce on original ad, so I will try to provide as much detail here as I can.
$275 Shipped CONUS - Pay...
This statement right here:
Primarily I am interested in the durability and strength of leather. I not want the surface topcoat wears pretty quickly, and is especially prone to scratches. I want a jacket that not will look old and beaten in after a few short years.
The only two leathers I could...
Thedi Cafecto D-pocket with patches in Texas. Great for a triumph fan.
Very few details - only size details "M" but dimensions on photos - blurry pit to pit.
$800 starting price and about 1.5 days left

My Lofgren Engineers, which I recently sold off, were 12D's. They were just a bit too wide for me, however Lofgren does not offer other widths. I purchased these off FL Classifieds and they were "tried on" new in box. Really nice boots, but made of softer leathers, so even with double socks...
Nicks Boots are lifetime boots. These are not something you approach such as buying a a pair of boots off a shelf in a store.
Perhaps it would help if you state your current shoe sizes and preferances.
Nick's and White's will look to size you for a "work fit" that is - a quite snug fit that...
This jacket is indeed a Wonderful Example of a J23. Thankful to J Leather for a smooth, easy transaction. Same to OneTerrifficHog for a second smooth, easy transaction.
For heavy use, give the US - Army suplus D3-A a try (you can buy wool liner gloves to go into them)
https://www.armysurplusworld.com/clothing/outerwear-cold-weather/gloves
D3-A's: (about $27.00)
Wool liners: (About $8.00)
Hello, this does not fit me. Maybe if I was ~ 6' 3" tall and 170 lbs it would work.
Do note it's been modified by the prior owner.
I listed it for sale in the Classifieds: https://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/branded-leather-crosszip-46-but-42l-of-fit.106027/
