    The Wifely Duties

My parents taught me everything I needed to know about finances and household management, and they still said there should be a class for these things in schools. I say so too - When I was about 18, someone my age watched me write a cheque with their eyes bugging out of their head. Despite my...

    First Dates

In the initial dating stage, a relationship doesn't exist yet. It's a much more delicate time when you want to make your very best impression, and when people say "just be yourself," they're saying "be your best self." Some of your personal quirks should be hidden at this time (but not...

Have you ever had a stranger photograph you...when you were dressed vintage?

When I worked at Fossil a few years ago, my manager used to make me stand outside to "attract people into the store." I was lucky, though - The people who whipped out their cellphones asked my permission to take a picture. I can only imagine what they said when they showed it around later on.

What makeup are you wearing today?

Me too. I've already decided that the best solution to my financial situation is to win the lottery. Thanks darling :o At that cheap you can't really go wrong. I love books like that, even if I'm reading stuff I already know lol

Your vintage dream outfit:- forget your figure and budget just for once

And both those dresses were designed by Gilbert Adrian :) He also did the gowns for The Women, including those amazing ones in the fashion show sequence. It's not hard to see why he was so popular!

Coming this fall: ABC's "Pan Am" -- "Mad Men" in the skies?

I know it was really badly done... But to be honest, I was kind of getting into the storyline. Hef is right about it having the wrong audience. If it had continued, I would have watched it!

What makeup are you wearing today?

Thank you very much sweetheart! :) It doesn't show up as well in the photo for some odd reason. It's a true, blue based red - For once, it looks exactly like it does on the website. A lot like the colour of my bow. ;)

Your vintage dream outfit:- forget your figure and budget just for once

I recognize that from Woman of the Year! :) I'm a big Kate Hepburn fan, I love how effortless her style was, even dressed up.

    The Wifely Duties

Wow, that's what I call some serious energy! :) I was forced to run a 100 metre once and I thought I was going to keel over afterward!

What makeup are you wearing today?

Funnily enough, I'm totally not a gloss person either, I just liked the colour. It's not any more sticky than a lot of glosses out there - Your hair may stick to it, but it will come out easily.

    Vintage 1950's Christmas Festivities

I can't, because I always end up opening all the days at once and scarfing all the candy down lol

    The Wifely Duties

That's awful lol The way our credit system worked was that you could choose your area in the given groups, say science courses instead of technology (for me it was the lesser of two evils), visual arts instead of music, etc. but you absolutely couldn't get out of PE at least once in your first...

    Excessive posting? ... Interesting.....

"And I had never had the pleasure until tonight, when I leaned over and said 'Mr. Welles, I'm Don Rickles' and he said 'who cares.'" lol!!!!

What makeup are you wearing today?

Today I went by MAC to check out their new Style Driven line, and I tried on the pro longwear lipglass in Driven by Love. The artist told me it would last for 7 hours, which is pretty impressive for a gloss. It was a bit troublesome to apply, but doggone if it isn't staying on! I drank coffee...

    The Wifely Duties

Oh, yes, me too. I had PE teachers in elementary school calling up my mother all the time to ask what was wrong with me. She would usually tell them it just wasn't my cup of tea, that I preferred academics. In high school, I took the required one PE class in first semester of grade 9, and...

    Excessive posting? ... Interesting.....

Yes, because he made this hilarious comment to Don Rickles on the roast of Dean Martin: "Thank you, Don, for that rather pedestrian introduction..." lol!! Rue, what happened with the movers? Did you raise some serious hell?

    First Dates

If a guy that I don't already have a solid, established friendship with asks me to go somewhere with him alone at night, especially for drinks, dancing or dinner, I assume it's a date. Even if he is my buddy, actually, I would assume he had something romantic in mind if he asked me to go for...

I cheated! And with a co-worker whom I like BETTER! What to do?!

Exactly! If you stroke the person's ego a little, they won't feel hurt, and the awkwardness won't factor in. :)
