The Royal Deluxe grade was reintroduced to the modern Stetson line via Matt Deckard and the Premier Stratoliner.
I haven't seen a lot of modern ORs up close, and I'm not counting the ones I handled at the outlet. But I like my premier strat well enough.
Try searching for a Resistol. Lots of OR styles like the San Antonio. Since they're less well known outside the western hat world, they don't command quite the attention that Stetsons do.
Buy it if you like it. There's nothing about the etsy page that sticks out as an obvious red flag. OTOH, the tacking stitches are somewhat obvious and I'm feeling like the pounce job looks a bit rough, but that's not always easy to tell from pictures. And I wear hats with obvious tacking...
For some reason I thought that they went out of business?
Can't comment on the quality, but their specs on that Indy lid aren't 'screen accurate,' if that's at all a factor.
I really dig my Stetson Fortune and Glory. Nicer finish than Akubra. But Mike at Northwest Hats sits very near your...
Well, that's not a Homburg. A Homburg should have a bound edge (unbound edges typically qualify as a Lord's hat). They also typically have a wider ribbon.

7 3/8 is harder to find but not impossible.
If money is no object (or, your budget goes to $400), I'd send those pictures and the Stetson ads to Art Fawcett, and pick a felt color. There are lots of hats in a similar style on ebay, though judging by the ads, it originally had a relatively deep flange.
Weird thing about Baron is that their website seems to be slowly shrinking. They updated a bunch of photos, but they also dropped a lot of hats. They've got like two fur felt fedoras online. The Bob Dylan Rolling Thunder Review hat that is on the splash page? Good luck trying to order it...
I mean, this might be enough brim for Joao, looks like a woolie though. :D

That person was mistaken or has been misinterpreted.
The reed is the wire running on the outside bottom edge of the sweatband that's wrapped in a grayish material. The wire being exposed to sweat is what causes the oxidation on the back where the ends are joined.
Borrowing Alan's pic from...
I've only ever bought in person. They mostly deal in lower end stuff, but do stock some higher end fur felt things. They're a legit brick and mortar store though, I think you'll be fine.
Alternatively: I'm pretty sure Bob at Black Sheep could handle the work. He tried to save an un-reeded Borso I had, but it was too far gone. Got refitted with a comfy sweatband instead. Downside is that Bob has a looooooong wait time.
Real talk: your hat probably isn't that special.
Unless it's a pre-war Stetson that we're taking about, I'd be more patient with Peter bros. They've been in business for over a century. Sometimes small businesses get busy. They made a hat for President Kennedy, but I guess they're not up to...
