Thanks! These jackets are made to order so yes we can do an A-1 in the goat. There are other shades of Capeskin as well that are available. The fit pics and mannequin pics are on the way.

Headwind Mfg co.
http://www.headwindmfg.com

Our two main products...
The first round of jackets have been made and delivered to the customers. Stellar reviews so far! People have really been happy with the quality and details. There are still a couple of Best Offers up on ebay as an introductory sale. We can make any size on the best offer listings. They will end...

Thanks! That was the first test jacket. Those nice ripples on the arms happened quickly over a few weeks of driving in it. I really put that jacket through hell too. I wanted to make sure it would hold up. It's still solid after wall ball, soccer, climbing and driving long hours over the course...
I was not around for that incident but I can tell you I'm a really down to earth guy. I'm a USN vet, a pilot and have been a collector for years. Part of my inspiration on this 37J1 project was to get a accurate reproduction for my collection, so the details are very important to me. I have...
Thanks for the clarification. You make an excellent point. I have nothing to hide, I just put a lot of work into putting this jacket together. I had 5 or 6 revisions and adjustments just on the label alone.
I appreciate your interest in the jacket and now I think I understand why the questions...
I don't disclose my vendors to the public. As is the practice of many companies. I don't think that is unreasonable. Would you ask Gary Eastman where he gets his knits, or who his label maker is? How about JC @ Goodwear? They may sell you the parts if requested, but would they tell you where to...
No not Pakistan. I design the jackets with my pattern maker and have control over the details and components used. I am not a distributor.
You can PM me for further info if you like.
These jackets are made in Heaven, can't you tell? I get the orders and they are passed along to my minions on cloud 9 :D
Seriously though, my company name is Headwind Clothing Co.
If you need more info you can PM me.

Jay
Yes, The Real McCoy's makes one in Calf skin. The site I found had them listed at 1,750 GBP about US$2,600. The original would have been made from Goat skin. They used to make a Goat version but apparently are now using calf skin.
Their jacket I believe is modeled after the famous "Admiral's...
Thank you all for the positive comments! I will have more photos posted soon to show the back and some more details. The knits are a poly blend, but I can get 100% wool knits if requested. They cost extra but they are premium quality.
Hello all, I am now selling a reproduction leather 37J1 jacket on ebay. The pattern is based on historical photos of originals and surviving originals. The originals were made of Capeskin. Thin, strong, grainy goatskin from the Cape of Good Hope. Also refered to as "Glove leather" back in the...
Tons of grain and character on this G-1. It's strong and ready to wear with just a little darning on the knits and some typical cockpit wear on the shoulders and left elbow. There a small rectangle of ghost stitching where the nametag was removed, evidence that this was indeed issued and used in...
