I doubt that it will deteriorate, mine feels pretty solid plus I don't think your jacket liner will ever see the light of day unless you purposely do it. If you want a really robust no fuss lining I think cotton drill might be it for you,
Oh boy when you put it that way I guess it really is not for the faint hearted. That's crazy how cold that might be, not to mention the effort to shovel your way out of the snow and the short hours of daylight. Lots of respect to the people who get a real winter.
I have handled all the lining you mentioned with my jackets. I'm sure cotton drill is more sturdy in the long term compared to wool. The viscose twill is a lighter but smoother and easier on the skin compared to cotton drill. You can't go wrong with cotton drill or viscose twill if warmth isn't...
Super sweet! That's a great collection! Congratulations! Perfect winter wear, wish we get a little bit of snow (maybe a weeks worth) so I could get to own one lol
Okaaaaay, brother! Great photo! That mask is killer. That jacket looks so good on you and the fit suits you so well (maybe because of your build?). That's so casual, and I'm sure it's easy to dress up and down, it's just perfect where we live. Congratulations man
AGreed, that happened to both of my veg tanned jackets (the full aniline brown shinki FL and German HH from JL). I hope I get caught in the rain with my Tobacco Badalassi as I know/feel that one will also behave the same way
That's great to hear you are liking it! That will only get better with wear, hope you get to see the browns showing through soon.
It's still cxl even though they thinned it so it's bound to be stiff.
Maybe just a quick snap for posterity sake so we can see how it evolves over time.
Insane! Job well done! Great review as well. I saw this jacket up close before it was completed and the photos doesn't do justice how good the leather really is. Hope to see fit pics later. Congratulations
I'm sure it will be no joke. I'd rather start with a heavyweight and then get the lighter ones just so it's a step down in terms of stiffness. Hope to get the jeans later in the week
Same, I started out with the double black slim straight. I'm sure it will be very crisp, I had a 13oz denim jacket last year and that was stiff already. I'm probably getting a dark indigo soon. I agree with the iron hearts, I want to experience wearing one but it's so expensive it cost more than...
I also got entry level selvedge w/ brave star. I just bought one to see how they fit me and if it fits great I might buy a couple more of their old stock denim for $68 (although you can't pick what you get)
I hear you, all my custom jackets have a little bit of quirky design to it just to make...
I'm sure like in all things, it's just personal preference. I hope that when I finally get one that it will suit me well. Ill admit that it does look very proper indeed
That's a nice jacket for sure. I hope all the numbers are within your tolerance.
GOt it, members here are a little bit torn between the whole shoulder measurement. Some (myself included) feel it matters, some members don't think so. But maybe if the pit to pit works for you, it can also work...
Thank you, man. I'm trying to get the pants department catch up a little too. It's so nice to find inspiration here because of all the members sharing their own personality and their styles. So in that way I can pick and choose what I want to emulate, granting I have already have something...
