Fit on the jacket is good, but this is a short vintage fitting jacket. I would suggest trying jeans or trousers with a higher rise for a better allround look.

Tried it on when I was there. Too trim for me, but the leather was great. Seemed like a great starting point with the lighter color, as it will probably look amazing with some wear.
Welcome. The community here is great. I didn't even introduce myself properly at the outset and I felt welcome here right away. A word of warning though, I've bought eleven leather jackets since april, so it can be dangerous. :D
If money was no object I would agree completely. Chest and handwarmerpocket placement is a lot better IMO and all the pics I've seen (apart from Terry's walnut brown californian) the leather looks better than both Eastman and Aero.
