I can't believe I haven't seen this before! I not only enjoyed the program, but it was neat actually seeing you, rather than reading your posts all these years!

    Show us your radios!

I'm lucky enough that this one is in working order, too, except the tuning dial has a lot of slop in it, but that should be fairly easily fixable. I have enough radio projects at the moment, though lol

Auto collision repair in the 1940s

There are still a few guys out there working with lead as body-filler, too.

I apologize for the poor photo. A friend gave me this Zenith.

No rot on the frame, very clean! My 2001 Silverado, I bought Sep of 2013, already had the tailgate, gas door, cab corners, and rockers replaced. I wash and maintain it religiously, but it is my winter vehicle. The gas door is already shot, the new one came in the mail Friday, and the box...

    Families of the Lounge

My Grandma (on my dad's side) came to visit last weekend. It's the first she has seen my house, where we were photographed. I had a wonderful time with her, and with my Grandfather's passing in November (he was 84), Grandma is the Matriarch of the family, at 79.

    Families of the Lounge

Wonderful story! It's great that you pass on those stories! My father does the same thing. I've heard stories from my Great-Grandfather, Grandfather, and my father, who is the only one living, now. I write many of them down and will pass them onto my kids when I have some. The world needs...

They're like lost puppies. I can't leave them to die!! It doesn't take long, here. I've seen trucks made in the 2000's that are close to this rough.

Darn right. I know it's not an easy project, but I couldn't let it be sent to junk. These are getting rarer and rarer because people do just that. This is actually the vehicle I plan on learning body work on. In the truck's defense, just like all Wisconsin vehicles, the driver's side is...

I just put those very same wheel covers on my truck today. I had the GMC version, which my friend wanted for his truck, so we did an even trade.

DEATHS ; Notable Passings; The Thread to Pay Last Respects

Another big loss for real country music. Grew up with, and love all his stuff. His songs he sang with his sisters, solo, with Helen Cornelius, all fantastic. "Just a lonely bell was ringing in the little valley town. 'Twas farewell that it was singing to our good old Jimmy Brown. And the...

    Show us your vintage home!

I remember it being in the same spot all my life, next to the kitchen door, under the rocking chair. They're not far from each other today, just a wall apart. The clock is in my kitchen and the rocker in my dining room.

    Hat traditions ?

Not so much a tradition, but my Great-Grandfather and my Grandfather were both regular hat wearers. You very seldom saw them outside of the house without one. When my Great-Grandfather passed, I was six years old. One of my favorite things to do at that age was steal Gramps' hat and wear it...
