Gah, how did I ever keep up with this thread before?
I went to that site I posted and clicked under "old photo" effects. Kinda cool!
Lovely as I thought it would be :)
I don't think I've ever assumed someone was drinking when they posted here! Probably because I'm a cheap date, and the...
Tell me about it. I learned as a young sprat, so I used to think everyone could sew. It sure comes in handy when you lose a button, or need to hem your pants, or even make your own clothes when nothing in the stores is quite right :)
I like your suits, Justin!
It's widely thought that Clara Bow's career ended once she made a talkie, but despite having a thick Brooklyn accent, she really had a lovely, sensuous voice. Her first talkie, The Wild Party, was a hit, and so was her comeback in 1933, Call Her Savage. But her accent was always a hurdle: at...
Oh, I know, and at the most inconvenient of places. I wore one of my vintage dresses to a wedding, and it had the tiniest of holes under the back zipper. During the reception, when I sat down in a chair, doesn't the hole rip all the way down the seat of the dress! Thank goodness I had a shrug...
That's an excellent point. The other huge problem with wearing real vintage all the time is the durability of the clothing. Many things are still rockin' on, for sure, but many more have been damaged and worn out with use and time. It isn't feasible to wear them every day, unless you're okay...
Shocking!
I see less of people dressed like that than I do in badly tailored "business casual." I would gladly overlook every Mr. Wardrobe Malfunction in the world for people who wore properly fitting business clothing.
Oops, I completely missed these posts.
Thanks ladies! :) It must be some sort of a tailoring quirk in the blouses, since it fits well on some and awkwardly on others. Miss Sofia, I am finding them a bit of a bugger to iron too, thats funny!
PS: My hair in that picture is literally just...
I don't think I have ever once come across this, but I hear about it all the time. I own few vintage pieces, especially to wear - I wear a lot of repro and vintage-inspired instead, so if anyone is thinking I'm "not vintage enough," I must not have noticed.
I like that :D In my...
Not too long ago, I found a nickel in my change from 1949. It's quite similar to the modern ones, except the King is on the back instead of the Queen, and the edges are less round. I keep it for posterity :)
Grant Fan, the short hair really suits you! :) I'm glad it's low maintenence, too. I think you adapt to your growing hair so gradually that you never realize how much time you've spent until it changes.
I think I'll make those this weekend! They sound yummy! :) Thanks for sharing the secret.
I have a few times, and only once was it long past the editing/deleting phase. It's surprisngly easy to speak out of turn on the interweb!
I'm getting heartburn just thinking of that lol Quite an achievement, nonetheless.
Thank you Kirk! :)
Today was my first day. I have a feeling I'm going to enjoy it very much!
I'm glad you like it! My application always seems to suffer with coloured liners, but if you can master it, then the colour protection is certainly a perk.
