Dang Bart! Now that is a sharp look.:eusa_clap I'm liking the tie and hat combo. Well put together!:)
If you don't mind me asking, where did you find the trousers?
Cheers!

I'm guessing this is the so called hat of horror? Did it have a big number 2 on the front?
Must be a Rusty Wallace fan then.
Plus if he was at the counter, he is allowed to wear his hat whilst eating. No offense there, since there is no place to put ones hat.
Cheers!

Nothing bad there. Looks like you did yourself a decent hand bash on that one. From the liner I would most likely say early 80's. The look of the hat really works on you. Well done!:eusa_clap

Bogart in The Big Sleep
And of course The Maltese Falcon
If I recall correctly his hat in The Big Sleep was a Stetson Royal and in The Maltese Falcon it was a Resistol, or visa versa.
Cheers!

Greenberg: Mr. Rawitch, what you are I wouldn't eat.
Rawitch: How dare you call me a ham?
Joseph Tura: Well, Colonel, all I can say is... you can't have your cake and shoot it, too.

This is my Whippet with my black Wested from a few years back. Not an A-2 but as close as it gets for representational purposes. Just to give you an idea for a casual look.

I was watching Legend of the lost the other night and was wondering what kind of vest that John Wayne was wearing. It looks like a simple number with two breast pockets and epaulets. The arm holes are parge and the shoulders sort of flair out as a short mock sleeve. Anyone here have any idea of...
Thank you Jimmy! Most appreciated.
I'm liking that new western you got there, especially that green ribbon. That and the color of that jacket is fantastic. Is it a tobacco color or is that just my monitor that makes it look that way?
Cheers!

I'm liking it Alan! :eusa_clap My guess would be that the brim curl and liner removal along with the vent holes would have ben something done at the men's shop it was purchased from per the customer's request. It would seem odd to curl a factory Mode Edge brim like that at the factory, as they...
Wow Alan, that looks like a real pip! If they too the liner out and added the vent holes my guess is that they also added the pencil curl to it too. It would seem odd to pencil curl it like a homburg with a factory Mode Edge at the factory, but odder things have happened. My guess again would be...
That's nice and clean looking Hatophile! Looks like it didn't get a lot of wear.:eusa_clap
Looks similar to my Open Road as it has the OR logo at the front of the sweatband. Mine came from Pomeroy's in Mesa, AZ and I think it is from the mid to late 60's.
Cheers!
