New-to-me Mr Disney today...

Pretty tall crown - I have put a center dent in it, to begin with. Very soft felt.

Boxed bow in this one.

AL, great proportions all around, and I like that shade of green.

JTL: That is a fantastic color, I hope to add that color to my collection some day.

Torpedo: I like that Hassidic ribbon, it compliments the hat well.

I'm liking that new western you got there, especially that green ribbon. That and the color of that jacket is fantastic. Is it a tobacco color or is that just my monitor that makes it look that way?

Thanks Dan -- and gents! Dan -- the color on my "duster" could probably be called tobacco. The photo captures the color very accurately.

I have to admit, I've had a hard time understanding the passion surrounding the Whippet, but these pictures are starting to get the blood flowing a bit... beautiful hat, and fine work presenting its best qualities in your photos.

Thank you, Alan. I share your sentiment also. I originally acquired the size 7 Whippet so that I could try and better understand the Whippet frenzy. There are certainly many other vintage hats with better felt and finishing, but I think it is the Whippet's iconic style, that continues to make it as popular today as when it was initially introduced.

Thanks, Dan, actually it's a Steel Gray color with maybe a hint of blue-green undertone. Hard to tell with the iphone pics.
