For sure, the M-65 were issued in camo and with a concealed hood in the collar. We cut them out so the collar would lay flat. The camo version came out a few years later. Original M-65 were in OD green. When the Army went to camo, button cuffs were still in use.

Velcro in a combat zone was a NO NO, Velcro on a listening post was a NO NO. Fellow soldiers in a combat zone who used Velcro were a NO NO. Anything issued with Velcro got field modified real fast even if it mean taping around the cuffs. if you come across a camo M-65 with buttons, chances are...
