200x are beaver and mink. 500x are beaver and chinchilla. I'm not sure what the claim is for 1000x Stetsons. I have 100x, 200x, and 500x Stetson westerns and I can't tell any real difference between the 100 and 200 versions but the 500 has a better leather for the sweatband and the felt does...- suitedcboy

Forgot to add: The headrest on truck is just low enough to clear brim by 1/2 inch. On my car I modded the headrest for hat clearance. There might be a decreased protection from headrest but that would take an accident to discover. I knew I'd get neck problems 100% certain from the original...- suitedcboy

No one mentioned the sun shielding feature of wide brimmed hats. I wear a western, 4 inch brim, hat almost 100% of the time driving. It is so effective at shielding sun. I never use the flip down sun visor and a slight tilt of the hat and you have perfect blockage that is so much more targeted...- suitedcboy

Fixing my new whippet...
Isn't the stitching on that Whippet brim due to the edge binding wrapping around more to the top than the bottom? In this case the edge stitching seems to be done on the short wrapped edge and then the long wrapped end is pulled over edge of felt and covers the first stitched row. Then the long...- suitedcboy

How to remove odors from a hat?
