Hi Gav, that's the AN-J-3 (posted here). It's been in storage, awaiting the cooler weather.
That wasn't my post on Denimbro (I've not owned a Monarch M422A, but I do have a Doniger, McGregor Sportswear M422).
Hi Gav, I'm not in the market for a trade (lighter coloured jackets don't suit me), but I have a great, original patched AN-J-3 that would fit you (size 46-48" in goat), if you're interested?
I can send on dimensions.
Cheers,
Ian
It's getting a lot of exposure on Twitter at the moment (https://twitter.com/holland_tom/status/747018798855774208) in response to the shameful racist graffiti scrawled on the Polish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith, London in the wake of the referendum result. The Hurricane pilots are Poles who...
I am now offering this very rare, early ELC 1942 pattern Irvin jacket for sale.
It's a hard to come by jacket as it has the highly desirable Merino fleece with the tight, curly wool and the fleece is in superb condition (no stains, no smell, lovely depth of wool and great sheen). The cuffs...
Hi Peacoat.
I've not handled two coats in the different cloths, but here is the link to the sale photos in the classifieds, from which you might be able to tell (there is a good image of the nap with a button)...
I've just bought one of these from CBI through the classifieds. It's closest to the top peacoat in detailing, but also has subtle differences. The buttons are a bit of a RL conceit (I guess I could replace with originals as they are still around now and again on EBay), but overall the quality...
Did the 37J1 have a three-piece back Bret (i.e. vertical seam below the yoke)? I can't recall having seen that, but perhaps I'm mistaken. Think this one might be a snide snug for me (will check my best fitting A-1).
Do you have a UK shipping price please?
The peacoat arrived today, very well packaged and with no customs charges!
Great fit and lovely quality throughout - it's a superb replica of the early naval pattern that I've coveted. I'm really impressed with the RL attention to detail (the buttons alone are a treat),
Thanks again to John...
Recently bought an 'At The Front' Tanker (the less period accurate version with the fleece liner) and it's a winner on a budget. Much warmer than the Buzz Rickson edition that I had previously with the coarse (itchy) woollen lining, with no extra weight.
Large size Cockpit Clothing 'Aviator' 1942 pattern Irvin repro (48-50") for sale.
I am selling a rare very early Cockpit Clothing Southampton jackets from the same period as the early Eastmans (this is not to be confused with Cockpit USA). I would guess late 80's early 90's. This jacket is...
