Nah, that market is already cornered. It's called keeping up with Keith Richards.
Of course I tend to think that he came into this world pre-distressed.;)

Thanks gang!:D Yeah, I was probably a little hasty in grabbing the hat and plopping it on my noggin, gave it a bit too much pinch. The little photo foray only too a minute and I was already sort of sweltering there. I can't wait for the autumn & winter weather to be able to wear this stuff more...
So, here is the Longsworth Homburg being worn. I know the coat and scarf is out of place in this summer weather, but it was only put on for a couple of minutes for visual effect for the sake of the hat.
Cheers!

Jean Dujardin sure does have that gene Kelley vibe going on there. Story sort of feels like the behind the scenes of Singing in the Rain.
This may be a fun one to check out. With all the high budget super action bright colored films out lately, it'll be nice to get back to basics and enjoy...
The other day I caught Fried Green Tomatoes on TV. It has bee some time since I last watched this one and it is still a fantastic film. "Secret's in the sauce." ;)

Well, my lunch box showed up and it cleaned up nicely. I still have to sand some of the rust off of the latches but at least the stuff that was pasted on washed off easily. A little soak in HOT water and it softened the rubber cement nicely. The inside is immaculate so I don't think I'll muck...
Well I finally found one on ebay for $7.00. Looks like the second image I posted above and is NOS. Has one tiny little rust spot near the bottom about the size of a pin head. I think I can live with that. It is 9 3/4" tall so it will fit within my dome lunchbox. I can now enjoy hot soups for...
You may have at least one image where the brim is down.
But yes, may are of the brim with that distinctive bar room floor curl.
And of course the Rio Bravo hat.
Back when Angie Dickenson was hot. Just had to throw that one in for good measure.

And the latest acquisition. It was advertised as brown with geometric pattern, but it is more of a plumb color with a geometric pattern. Either way it looks good and I'm happy with it.

Ok, here is at least a photo of the Generals Topcoat. Sorry, it's too warm to be wearing it. This fall & winter I'll be sure to get some shots of it in action outdoors.
Cheers!

Yeah, mine is a "Royal Stetson Deluxe". Here is a liner shot. It was originally sold at "Gruber's" in Irvington, NJ.
It would be interesting to know when that store was in operation and if it is still around. May have to do a little research.
Cheers!

Today was the warmest here of the week. But, I am looking forward to Autumn. The changing leaves, the crisp in the air. Apple picking season, soups and comfort food. I can't wait to find a good orchard and go picking apples.
Cheers!

Mr. Radcliffe is applauded for wearing a suit to such an event, but yeah, that suit is ill fitting. Also, it seems to cling to him like the fabric is wet. But, at least he wore a suit.
Cheers!

Very interesting indeed. Thank you for that info and the pictures. I know that my price tag reads $4.40 "Mail Order Department" 665 Broadway, New York City. The duplication number is 465. Cool stuff!
Cheers!
