    The Nazi Gold Train

I had to Google the phrase. :eeek: Man, you weren't kidding! I knew that German uniforms and equipment were huge in Anime and model building over in Japan, but I had no clue that SS uniforms were being worn in social settings. I can't imagine the reaction from a Westerner seeing that for the...

    The Nazi Gold Train

I've seen this insanity on almost every forum I am on... :eusa_doh: When they try pulling it out, I'm sure someone will blow the bridge ahead of it... "Ya see what sending out all them negative waves did, Moriarty?" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xyh-JpWdGmQ I can't count the number of...

Sounds good to me. Just found the one you mentioned online and will be buying soon. Thanks for the info!

Good DVD with ALL of the Little Rascals shorts?

I really don't need the silent ones. I'm mostly looking for the mid-30s (later ones, I guess) that you most often saw on TV.

Good DVD with ALL of the Little Rascals shorts?

Dang. It never occurred to me that they were all tied up on copyright issues. You never see them on TV anymore. As a kid in the 70s, most TV stations ran alternating Our Gang and Three Stooges shorts. Man, I miss that.

Good DVD with ALL of the Little Rascals shorts?

Does anyone know of a good-quality DVD that has all of the unedited Little Rascals shorts? I trolled Amazon and the reviews either state that the quality of supposedly complete sets (some are mentioned as incomplete) are terrible or they aren't complete. Looking for a good set.

    Terms Which Have Disappeared

My Dad said when he was a kid in the late 40s, someone called my Grandfather (a WW1 vet who had a very hard upbringing and didn't put up with much from people) a SOB, and he knocked the guy out with one punch. dad said that was the one thing you really never wanted to say to the man. It became...

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

In my hometown in Florida, there was a well-known guy who carried his dog on his motorcycle. The pooch had goggles and really seemed to love riding. You'd see the guy often on the roads. If you ever see the movie, "Something Wild" with Jeff Daniels and Melanie Griffith, Daniels encounters the...

I used to not be a dog person. I got bit by a dog that'd 'never bit anyone before' and the owner watched it happen from his porch and never even came over to do anything about it. There was a reaction to that, which involved bullets and the threat of using same on the owner. I didn't like dogs...

Makes sense. I'd say, "who's service animal isn't the issue, but the fact that it's legal and well trained is." In all fairness, I have seen pets in restuarants before, owned by workers. It isn't common and probably not legal, but I have seen it more than once.

I usually get the smallest burger that a fast food place has when I'm ordering as I've never liked the massive sized ones. At first, it was because I was such a small, thin kid who didn't need much to keep me going. Then, it was habit. Now, it's more so I don't gain more weight...

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

What's up with older folks writing stuff over the top of photos? My Mom, a few years ago, made up a photo album of photos from my childhood to high school, and did the same for my brother. Over top of almost every single one of them, with a ball point pen, she wrote info about the photo, right...

Yep. The local pizza place does a horrible job with this. I even brought my pizza cutter from home once when I came to pick it up and asked, "Hey, do you need a real cutter that works?" They got the point, finally.

My wife has to cut her burgers in half. I've never understood that.

When I still lived near a Chilli's restaurant, I loved the chocolate shakes for their taste but you had to wait until the end of the meal to have it as it was so thick that I'm sure that a metal straw would probably collapse trying to drink it that way. They came with a spoon for good reason...

And this is consistent wherever you go now. There's got to be a reason for it as it happens so often, but that reason escapes me. I once ordered a hamburger from a drive through and was specific for no cheese. Cheese. Again. I went inside, and could see the people as they made them. I was nice...

Also, I might have typed this here before... Can anyone explain to me why I have to wait so long to get the check at a restaurant anymore? They all do it, you sit around for a long time, just waiting for the server to show up. Hold the card in your hands doesn't do any good. These days, it's...

Speaking of burgers... You go to a fast food place and they have on the menu: A hambuger A cheeseburger You order the former and you'll often wind up with the latter. If they want to put freaking cheese on everything, just tell us. I order a hamburger and I always have to make sure they...

Yeah, you said it best. I agree 100% with this. I had no idea it was ever a 'thing' to pose with dead people like that. And here I thought it was a horrible thing to force kids to 'go kiss grandpa goodbye' in the coffin. That's nothing compared to this. Man, creeps me out just thinking about it...
