This isn't today it is actually this past Saturday. I went to a holiday party with my parents. The party was 40's themed and my favorite band Doc Scantlin and his imperial palm orchestra. This photo his with Doc's wife Chou Chou. I saw them for the first time when I was 12 and attribute there...
Thanks ladies that was very helpful we did something very similar to this with her hair last night, she wouldn't let me take pictures but it turned out fabulously
Tonight my mother and I are going to a 1940s dance. She has asked me to help her do her hair in a 40's style but we have a problem, she has short hair. It is about chin length and plenty of it so I can curl it if I need to I just don't know what to do. Does anyone have any advice or pictures...
Toni I did have help from a curling iron but the wave in the front that is how it goes all on it's own I can't really ever seem to change that. But it isn't too far off, in the last year or so my curls have really calmed down quite a bit

Oh my goodness you look so wonderful, I adore your dress it is so cute and simple and looks really nice on you. And I am jealous saddle shoes look great on you they make my feet look like boats.
Ok so after looking at this thread over the years I have come to the conclusion that gentlemen have it easier when it comes to dressing vintage. Mens wear hasn't changed as dramatically over the years like women's wear has

Ok so I just ordered my fist Trashy Diva dress last week, after years of lusting over their clothes. Has anyone here purchased one of their clothing items? I am just curious if their things are as fabulous as they look.
I am spoiling the boy this year. He is coming home from being stationed in Japan for 3 years in February, and there is an old military tradition that you leave you Christmas decorations up until your loved one comes home (thank goodness this is the first time I have decorated for Christmas)...
