@jeo im glad that you are able to share your story to our members/lurkers and we are able to discuss our views openly as a group. Thank you gentlemen for being understanding and being open, and even if we see things differently we can still be civil and get our points across without being hostile.
Yes! Now I want to get a vintage cafe racer too! These vintage cafe racer jacket that @TooManyHatsOnlyOneHead @handymike @torfjord @Robbie79 have been sporting is calling out to me and i hear it very well.
Welcome to the FL jacket family my friend! I'm sure whatever custom you go with will...
No wonder @Robbie79 ordered one from them, that looks great.
This modern take on the type 3 is good, especially the back design.
Not anytime soon for sure, especially with the new CA variant tsk tsk
I hear you the classic HWM looks so good, I've read that a lot have tried but not all have succeeded as there's always a fit issue. I also have a premier HWM in cordovan cxl but I got the classic HWM back yoke (not a fan of the stock back yoke)
Badalassi is great, its squeaky but it's worth it...
I noticed the classic HWM works great for certain body types (bear of a man) w/ broad shoulder/chest/hip. For some who are more V cut or of slim or anywhere in between build it will look boxy and the premier HWM might be a better pattern (but that doesn't guarantee a great fit as well, as...
Hope to see what you eventually go with. Also still on the fence if I'm to just go with my tried and tested Trumans or go with Nicks/Whites for a pair of outdoor beaters.
Agreed on both subjects especially the "it's only clothes part" but that's an investment in itself with the amount paid for it; i only hope that what happened to @jeo would not happen again to other consumers (especially TFL members) and that he is still able share his experience here.
*i...
The jacket construction is underwhelming, aside from the nice medium brown shinki used and it would not warrant the premium that was paid. I think the biggest issue though is the makers response then when it was first brought up that the leather was slippery and they would do better moving...
i hope not. I was going to reply those same exact lines last night to the chevalier bis thread but I fell asleep and then I woke up anf my instinct have been confirmed. I'm sure mods can take a little ribbing too as that would be no fun if they perceive it like that
I hope not. I saw your post and wanted to reply as well but I don't want that threads discussion to cascade and end up being closed or removed as well. Atleast if I open a seperate thread there would be no issue like that.
i find it odd and disappointing that mods are recently locking threads or removing them all together for people to voice their concern and opinion. When a certain discussion is about a members individual experience with a certain maker (recurring theme) it seems mods are quick on putting a stop...
So clean! I should copy that design hahaha I think they both look great but my money is on the zipper closure. Can you try to make a snap button closure render?
