Still not done, but it is able to ride. Zinc plating on such rusty surface only serve as rust prevention. Seat pillar and handlebar are painted with spray putty, filler and glossy black paint. Rims are classic for wired tyres which is wrong. I'm wainting for original folding tyre rims.
Restoration continues. I'm quite rushed and also don't want to invest too much in another ladies bicycle, so i decided to replace chrome plating with glossy zinc plating on handlebars and small parts such as brake lever etc. and parts of frame with silver metallic paint. Rims, fenders etc...
A fragment of Revi 16B gunsight from Fw 190 F-8 WNr. 932671 that crashed in the near village on 3.IX.1944. Pilot Fähnrich Otto John in the accident died.
There's too much of LW markings on metal parts, I know that because I have lot of LW junk from local former German airport. Therefore I wouldn't dare condemn it as fake just because of markings. If someone is interested in german aircrafts from WWII. here's a gallery of my finds...
