A little late on this posting, but when I was in Rescue Swimmer School in Pensacola, we had two Coasties and a Marine in our class. I know the Marine's G-1 was stamped USN, because he went through Aircrew Candidate School with us and was present during our flight gear issue, but for the life of...
When you look into you own closet and say, "what jacket is this?"
Even better,
When the GF says, "I never bought you that jacket!"
And you say, "Uh... Yeah, you did."
I saw a couple out there for sale in 44L, but didn't pull the trigger. I think they were more the commissary sold jackets than the issued jackets because they had a blue Cooper label inside. My original issue has the usual Mil-spec contractor label.
Thanks! That jacket is pure salt, still smells like JP-5 a little too! I really wish it still fit me. As I get older, maybe I'll shrink back down into it. He he...

Totally understand your first post. I'm former Naval Aircrew and my issued G-1 was a Cooper. Still fits, although I've gone upwards about 2 inches rendering my original issue too short. I've since purchased 2 others, G&B and a cockpit. Wish they made this 100 mission in a size Tall...
These really are great jackets! Awesome find! I have the G&B model and that double zipper is my favorite feature. I'm actually thinking about installing one on a G-1. When you sit in the cockpit, it's way more comfortable when you can unzip the lower half a bit, then the jacket doesn't pop-out...
After trying out several other brands, my best fitting A2 is still my ebay purchased Cooper. Believe I paid about $150 for it in like new condition. Love that jacket, almost as much as my G&B G-1.
I appreciate the responses, everyone. I'm going to measure up and give Rob a call. Then it's just a matter of getting up the huevos to pull the trigger.
Yeah. That's my only hold-back. If my girl knew how much I paid for one, she'd probably put a bullet in my head on the spot. I just have to envy your photos for the time being. It looks soooo nice though... Hmmm... maybe a secret savings on the side is the ticket.
