I'm glad those guys are still going. I was waiting with great excitement after they announced they would be offering MC jackets. Sadly, it doesn't look it will happen. I like the look of the jackets, and for someone like me who isn't looking for a specific contract, or historical accuracy they...
You might end up keeping the BK, and having a DD too. It wouldn't be the biggest crime in the world!! Variety is a good thing. And, like you said with the hideous costs involved everywhere, you won't get that back when you sell it mate, might be best to hang onto it.
Hi mate,
It's about a 26"-27" chest, I think about 26.5-27" sleeves, 21-22" shoulders. I think we are similar sizes, as the Vanson CHP I sold last year would have fit you from memory? About a 48" chest...:)
The other thing I just noticed, the action back. Awesome and practical. The repro ones now, are more than likely accurate, but I don't see many with gussets or action back. I know the aero one does, but I mean the j100 etc. probably a completely different jacket all together. I just like that...
Definitely. It's actually the closest thing a fat guy gets to a sexy jacket. I'm calling it my fat guy cafe racer. I'm thinking about wearing it with my engineers and high cuffs leaning against a milk bar wall smoking cigarettes.
It was a case of what did fit me! I was brand new at custom ordering, and living on my own. I wasnt too sharp with the measuring tape, and approached it like a mall jacket, with near enough is good enough. Every company I have dealt with has done the right thing 10 times over. That's the most...
I love this. Tweed. Just one of many jackets I love to look at, knowing that it wouldn't suit me, and I will never own one. I just think it looks really sharp. I could own several of their jackets. The Canuk and the D pockets being my favourites. I actually love that grizzly/ heron thing of...
Yeah, I know what you mean. I feel the same about some of the brown offerings from Langlitz. I would love that type 3 in russet with a fur collar. The colours might seem a bit bland, but I don't think there's any doubt that LW leather is pretty amazing stuff. I've never even seen one in real...
I really like those. Impossible in a 48". I often scour the net looking for a freakishly big one. It probably wouldn't suit my body shape too much anyway, they are pretty unforgiving.bn1966, that looks fantastic on you. I'm always jealous of the guys that continually find these amazing jackets...
Stick with the program A-1! It's hard ordering stuff online, expensive, custom made stuff. I've had a few false starts, and every so often I sit down and do the maths about what I've lost flipping jackets etc. it's mind boggling. My Langlitz still makes me happy every time I put it on. I can't...
Sad but true mate. I got in touch with Pickings and Parry in Melb. They stock Aero, which I didn't realise. They couldn't even give me a firm price due to exchange rate/ customs. Pretty bizarre for a retailer I thought. It was $1600 plus, with the possibility of having to pay a surcharge if...
