    Old gas stations

I pass this sign every summer on the way to the family cottage. And every summer I marvel that it's still there... that some idiot hasn't taken off with it in the night. I didn't take a photo of the building because it's been modernized somewhat, no longer looks terribly interesting, and is...

    Cream twill belted suit, age?

This is an odd one... I've been googling "B. Teller Vienna" and I'm not coming up with much (helpful) info. This suit is made from a cream twill or duck. Old gas stations

Don't know if this really qualifies for this thread but it's kind of neat, nonetheless. I passed this today after a great weekend in Frankenmuth, Michigan. I can't find out much about it but I believe the owner refurbished the place to hold his gas station collectibles. Here is someone...

    Formal Wear Primer

Date on this black wool tuxedo, please Good day, gentlemen! My newest acquisition is this handsome tuxedo in black wool. The collar is ribbed like grosgrain ribbon from hats, is there a particular name for this? There are no labels whatsoever, not even a union label. The only inner pocket is...

Harness racing, anyone? Unfortunately, this one has some condition issues. It came safely through a gentle soak and now needs a careful ironing but there is staining/stiffness on the lining at the wide tip that I haven't yet been able to budge. There are also a few tiny holes in the lining...

Thanks for the compliment on the tie and the info on cleaning... I've heard original Dawn recommended before for vintage linens, too. So... air dry, and then any tricks for pressing a tie?
