JMax - I really appreciate the posting of this jacket.
I've had a hankering for either a more "CHP-type" cross-zip or a nice, thick Cafe Racer for a while now. This should satisfy that "need". :)
We'll find out soon enough.
I hit BIN.
This is a near-twin to a US-Made CR I owned for a few years back in the early 2000's. That one was a two tone, black & brown. Really one of the heaviest, most comfortable CR's I have ever seen, so I'll be very excited when this shows up!
I bumped into a "mall" brand from New York that seemed to push out some nicer-quality jackets as well. I found this one on ebay while looking to price one I picked up at an Estate sale locally. This is a Medium, similar to the one I bought and will be selling (short sleeves to me). I thought...
I agree with what's been said, especially Tony's input above.
The Highwayman is an even more difficult style to fit correctly. There are several threads that deal with it and the sizing of this very nice, but a bit difficult to nail - fit wise jacket.
Carrie is the best way to go especially...
Very interesting thread idea, I had something similar floating around in my head the past few days, but could not think what to call it. You nailed it Worf!
As it turns out, my grandparents managed to miss WWi and WWiI being born around 1909, and my parents were born in the early 40's so...
Gosh those are gorgeous!!

^^ I searched and looked it up as it looked so familiar, including the lining. It went to Nick 123 back in May 2021. I picked mine up used. Apologies, looks like a near-twin! GLWS! :)
Monitor's suggestions are sound as per my limited experances with these.
I have a LW J-23 in 4-oz Horse - I would not suggest this leather for that style of jacket. Too stiff & heavy.
If you go LW I would ask Stuart to build it from 3.0 or even 2.5 oz HH - or Goatskin. This style would look...
I can vouch for this one, as I owned it for a while a year or two back. The teacore on it is just fabulous.
It was just a little too small for me overall...
Very nice Black leather Tommy Hilfiger leather jacket in a "pebble grain" cowhide leather. Surprisingly heavy for a "mall" jacket and has nice features to it. lining looks like it could have been from an expensive suit. Practically un-worn, no odors, stains, torn or loose seams, etc. Would...
