This is *exactly* what I want but I’m pretty sure @ told me the 42 is the only contract Aero will make with the FQHH. I’ll ask again, nee beg. But I bet it’ll be just as cool in a slim 42 as the Bronco.
Damn! That’s a beauty! That’s exactly what I want for my A-2. I already have a light seal from Eastman and a dark seal from BK on the way, need a heavy leather for stylish motorcycle safety.
Wow, that Premiere Highwayman looks so nice! I guess another for me to want... I was thinking about making an A-2 in blackened brown, but I do want it to fade substantially.
Bumping up an old post to see if anyone has any more experience with this. I'd love to see a Blackened Brown Vicenza with some real wear, now that it's been a few years. anyone got pics??
Hi Charles, I wonder if I could get your opinion on my ELC RW, as well. I am dealing directly with Dave at Eastman, because I'm in Berlin. But I have bought some BR khakis from you and I know you are the recognized fit specialist in regards to these jackets. I ordered a 46 to try on -- I need to...
Well I will stick with this one and see how it goes after I add some length and wear it for a while. In the meantime I’m SO HAPPY TO HEAR FROM HOLLY!!! And hopefully Aero will make me a better fit, when the crisis eases up in Scotland.
I have to say, it is awful to see what’s going on with this...
no, they don't do that. a bummer for sure, but the shoulder seams are in the right place. If i add any volume in the chest, i'm afraid it would translate into too much volume in the waist.
Yeah I think I like it this size and I think it should mold to me with time. I'll have 4 cm added to the arms and the body, and see how it fits then. At the end of the day, I've got more ordered from BK and Aero, so I'll see how those compare eventually.
The `Warhorse' leather is unreal on this...
Hmm... wish i lived in Scotland.
Also, I wish Aero or BK would reply to emails or answer the phone! Eastman seems to be the only one that's on the ball these days, re customer communications.
The more I look at it, the better I like it. I wouldn’t ride it in all the time — I’ve got heavy FQHH for that, as well as the gazillion motorcycle jackets I bought before I developed good taste. But I would want to shoot around town in it...
Hi TFL team!
i just received a new RoughWear 27752 A-2 from Eastman in the mail in a size 46. This was just to try on, as I know I’ll need to add 2” of length, but wanted to check the body size first.
i love the way it fits in the shoulders, and also the chest seems to be enough room for a...
Charles, I know this is an old thread, and I don’t see any BR jackets in a dark brown around these days — certainly not in the size 48 long that I’d need. But I will continue to watch your page in case anything like that ever turns up!
I’m tempted but I’m going to try and hold out for an Aero that I already ordered at the beginning of March. Assuming Aero ever reopens. But this is very tempting indeed!
What are the measurements? I would love to get a coat like this but I have a true 46-inch chest, need at least 20” shoulders, and have very long arms. Can you give us the details?
Thanks! I have a feeling I’ll return the 46 and end up with a 48. I also feel like I’d be closer to a 44 in Aero. Maybe I’m wrong about that but it’s a little odd that everyone is going off patterns of the originals but also ends up with different sizing.
Anyway, I’m learning a lot, thanks to...
The smaller sizes I was quoted are inconsistent with the info in this link: http://www.acmedepot.com/a2jacket/measure.shtml
So it looks like the real-world data is different than the vendor’s info — hence my confusion.
I have also been advised by Aero to lean toward a 44 rather than a 46...
Re-upping this older thread as I ordered the same Eastman RW 27752 today. I’m a 46” chest and usually about 20” shoulders, so I figured I’d go for the size 46 (I need an extra long as I am 6’4”, but I’ve ordered a 46r to try on for size before sending it back to get the unreturnable long).
One...
I’ve been searching high and low for a dark seal or black horsehide A-2 in 44-46 Long or Extra Long — I have a 46” chest and very long arms. I’m 6’4”, 205 lbs.
from previous jackets I know I need something close to these measurements:
shoulders: 19”
Pit-to-pit: 24”
Sleeves: 28”
Length: 28”...
