Gav, in what way the fit is tight? My Aero A2 fit was pretty snug in the first place and I felt tension in the armpits. Now it's getting better and I also got used to it. The guys here have advised an A2 should fit that way. As for the appereance, it looks absolutely perfect.
Too bad it's impossible to touch the hide but the look and fit is great. And there're a few details I'm a great fan of: the D ring closure and outer back seam (is that bi-swing, btw???). Nice score.
I know what you mean. I have a 4 oz black Suburban. It weighs as much as twice of the Peacoat and I imagine how much a 4 oz Peacoat would weigh. But I think I would be happy even with 4 oz, although 3 oz for longer jackets is a better idea.

I have an athletic build too and find my CR from Aero very good. It doesnt allow layering, just a t-shirt for a comfortable fit, but I very much like the way it looks.
