Ordinary Guy: Yeah! How 'bout that!
1mach1: It is interesting!
Rick Blaine: It is a beautiful blank slate! Thinking about it but it has to be the 'proper' hands! ;)
Vintage 1970s Dobbs Straw in Dune color. Interesting bash in the crown. According to seller, he's never seen anything like it either. Considering an updated crown design if nothing else.
Thanks to all you hat loving 'enablers', I introduce my first vintage (1970's) Dobbs Straw! It is, according to Jazz pianist Chick Corea, 'Light as a Feather'
An interesting to note for me is that most of the hat makers/designers are either in the Midwest and West! I note three in the East (closer to me) i.e., Upstate New York and Georgia...Just an observation. Not certain as to why but probably would make for interesting thread conversation! [huh]
Great looking lids, gentlemen! I've got a long way to ge to catch up with these beautiful lids! I remain inspired to keep a budget available just keep all in view! :eusa_clap
Happy Father's Day to all!
Lando: beautiful! :eusa_clap Awaiting a western transformation in works! I know it will look as great as yours! Loving that moss green band and that crown shape!
I hear ya, 1mach1! The difference I see in this pix is that he also has a full collar which makes his body appear to be larger...Plus, he's wearing black! ;)
My first Homburg purchased from eBay: I'm certain I will love it more as I wear it! I understand Biltmore had something to do with Stetson (still researching!). This Duma Collection Collection is an African American owned and operated company that, according to the little placard...
I would give thought to selling this one though. It's a Western / Fedora crossover that I did. Very dense felt and very rugged...the size tag says 7 1/4 but I think it'll fit bigger...if the hat fit me I wouldn't think of parting with it. It's just way too big for me...
Oh! If only I...
