Beautiful jacket, GLWS or trade.
Looks great on you in the photo, but I totally understand wanting it an inch shorter in the torso and sleeves. I could’ve gone with a 42 on my Delraiser but the extra inch would’ve bothered me in the end and I prefer the closer fit of the 40 too.
@BloodEagle I purchased a J-24 from Celluloid, a Japan stockist, and the measurements were no different than that of the American stockists.
Not sure where you heard they’re producing different patterns for different markets, but this is inaccurate.
Their actuals tend to stray a bit from...
More like this Thedi.
Juuust covers the belt. What I’m seeing is a lot of 25-26” torso jackets (for medium size) which I wouldn’t necessarily consider waist length, more of a modern longer slim silhouette.
Great fit on that one, love the length. And almost no info out there about the model.
Anybody else ready for waist length cross zips to make a comeback? The long, slender, narrow thing is weird.
Welcome to TFL!
I’m a big fan of The Flat Head’s cross zips myself and it sounds like the 42 should fit you well on the current model if you’re going for a closer fit.
I know some prefer more ease in the chest, but for me around 2-2.5” is ideal because I can comfortably layer a hoodie or...
The photos may be a bit deceiving in that regard, because it has ample room in the shoulders and the action back allows for a nice range of movement, despite the close fit. The military-style sweater layered in the photos is quite thick, much heavier than a hoodie, and I can still comfortably...
Nice, either will look awesome!
I have heard the gusseting is substantial enough to allow for plenty of movement with the slimmer cut, but it also depends how much layering you plan on doing and how close you prefer your clothing to fit.
For me, personally, 2” of ease in the chest is the sweet...
Yeah that was the overwhelming consensus but there was no talking the person (that my above satire is referencing) out of it. He was adamant the shoulders should drop 4” down on the arm and that the sleeves fall below the knuckles, and that the whole thing generally fit like it was made for a...
Hello everyone, sorry if this is not the correct place to post this (mods feel free to reach out to me directly for a long and detailed explanation of my project, private personal details I’ve never told anyone before, and also other interesting facts and ideas I have) but I am looking for a...
Just came across this thread. What a stellar jacket!
You definitely made the right choice on size—the fit is great. I’ll bet it’s breaking in nicely now, too. If you have dogs, take them on some walks in the rain wearing it.
