Leather Jacket makers in the EU

Germany. Ive looked at the website and the quality looks great, but none of the patterns they make really grab me.

I also absolutely love their "Strizzi" model. Id have to ask them to make it a bit longer & see what other leathers might be available. But this one is looking like a real alternative!

Thanks. I will definitely look at those two.

Leather Jacket makers in the EU

Thanks all. So far Aero still seems like the most attractive option to me.

Leather Jacket makers in the EU

Ive been looking at leather jackets for a little while now and am planning to eventually order a long Half belt by Aero in tobacco badalassi. I like their authentic fuller cuts and the fact they make slightly longer jackets. Details like the angled cuffs & back gussets are something I appreciate...

    Leather belt recommendations

Ive been very happy with "Heidelberg" Belts made by Langer & Messmer. They use vegetable tanned German calf skin & Italian made brass buckles. What I like about them aesthetically is the high stitch count, which makes them look more refined than many more pricey options. At about €100 a piece I...

This sounds like a really good idea. How would I best go about transferring my head shape onto paper?

Thanks all. Ive only worn it around a dozen times so far. Its possible it simply needs more head time to conform. I'm hesitant to use a stretcher on it, Im personally not the biggest fan of them. For now Ill just keep wearing it frequently. I can always try out a stretcher later.

Post Apocalyptic world, one outfit to last..

Well, these are always fun: Heavier weight two-ply cotton button up shirt. Sturdy high-rise wool trousers; maybe corduroy, tweed or a thick flannel type fabric. Similar or matching wool jacket. Thick double breasted wool great coat. Warm wool over calf socks. GTW leather service/derby boots...

I have a vintage 50s fedora which doesn't fit quite right. Mostly because I'm a long oval and the hat is a regular oval. When I press on the sides of the hat while its on my head, it fits a lot more comfortably. Is it possible to change a regular into a long oval? I believe the reed is wooden...

HNC Hatworks (formerly known as Agnoulita Hats)

My Agnoulita arrived a few days ago. This is the "Oppenheimer" model in Coffee Beaver. Ivory band and binding. 7cm (2 3/4") brim. The felt is a lot stiffer than I expected, maybe a little like western felt? It has a somewhat "cardboardy" feel to it. The colour is a bit darker, and the...

How do folks react to your hat wearing?

99% of "Autistic" people are really just people with a little more common sense then the rest of us, so we invented this label to convince them they are "sick". Really, most of them just talk less bulls**t. Only "censored" because most forums have rules against swearing. It's a very convenient...

    Post New Hats Here!

I dont know why Hats in my pictures always look so much more dirty/ratty, but IRL the hat looks very clean. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out. Since the felt is so soft, its possible to simply shape the crown & pinches on the fly. Subtle pinches like in picture 1, or more dramatic like...

    Post New Hats Here!

The Borsalino arrived today. It was in both "better" and "worse" condition than I anticipated from the pictures. The blocking was still good for the most part, however there were a few stains that needed sanding. From the Label inside & thanks to this post, I can date the hat to 1961 - 1965...

    Panama Hat Thread

Considering how little Cuenca/Montecristi Fino’s breathe, I doubt a liner would even make much of a difference. With my fino, I can pick it up from a table and feel the suction as I lift it off. I doubt there is any significant airflow. A practice I haven't really seen with Panamas (tough it...

    Boater faction!

Reich boater in Size 55/56. Navy/white ribbon. Its in great condition, but I have no idea about the age. I would guess post war, possibly 60s. If anyone knows more, feel free to chime in.

Can leather cream polish fix these kinds of scratches in a leather wallet?

The scratches are minor, and more wear will eventually accumulate even if you polish them out. It is a fools errand. Instead of a curse, try to instead see them as a blessing; as now you do not need to be so careful with it any more and can enjoy the wallet even more! I remember the very first...

    Modesty

It's good that you don't just take what I said as gospel, you ask questions. I will quote someting here that I wrote in another thread: "It is not about what’s right. What’s right is meaningless, it’s subjective, dependent on context. Too many decisions are made based on what’s "right". When we...

    Made In USA?

My intention was not to dictate or present my own wisdom as the only truth, but to deliver, explain and show what simply IS, so others can understand my reasoning and form their own conclusions. But I do not claim to be unbiased, that would be impossible. What conclusions have been drawn? What...
