Go the suede, you just need an interesting lining for when it rains ....
but on a serious note, I like the weight and initial feel of the Vicenza but tbh, I don't like the way it ages, its a bit dull compared to how other leathers age imo. Go with something else.
While I love my Californian, I don’t think I’d trust it as a riding jacket tbh.
It’s a good price on it but there are 2 concerning marks to be seen on the photos. One above the right hand pocket and another on the right hand rear shoulder.
I’d be asking for better photos of those 2 marks...
It’s noticeably smaller, especially the forearm and wrist. I don’t ever zip the sleeves on the Roadstar and I don’t have particularly big wrists at all.
A quick snap of the new larger sized ELMC windward before it heads back to the UK to get the sleeve/shoulder fixed.
This model seems to jump up in size a lot more than the Californian. With the Cali, it was hard to tell the 40 from a 42. This is significantly bigger than the 40.
What perfect timing for a customer service comparison. My ELMC windward arrived with a slight issue where the front of the sleeve attaches to the shoulder, it was obviously sewn in at the wrong angle and left a pucker.
I emailed Rob at Eastman to ask his thoughts and he immediately offered to...
I drifted away from TFL after my GW debacle but despite trying a few other interest group forums found them all to be pretty toxic and just horrible places to visit and spend time.
I’m glad I found my way over the past few months, the only downside, I’ve bought 3 damn jackets in that time … oh...
Yes, in an ideal world @Damon141 would have returned the jacket in the 2 week grace period but it's not like the he has ripped or damaged the jacket in any way. This is how it was sent to him, either Himel feels this is an acceptable representation of the quality of his brand or he doesn't...
Throw me a PM if you would like Robs email address, he’s been fantastic answering random questions for me on many occasions from measuring jackets to giving me his thoughts on fit pics.
I got in touch with Rob over at Eastman again regarding a sized up Windward (size 42 this time).
My size 40 went back to @Fonzie who I think has regretted the trade we made a few years ago, he has mentioned it more than a few times in our PMs since lol.
I'm glad it's going back to him, it's...
It looks great, I think sizing up will make it way too big across the shoulders for you, it’s already falling off your natural shoulder in this size.
Are you only going to wear it zipped?
The Sheene can be a tricky fit, it’s designed as a motorcycle jacket with wide shoulders to accomodate a...
You’re definitely overthinking it. This is the worst it will ever look, it will only get better and better the more you break it in and the back will settle. Great fit!
