Well, if I can figure out how to post pics again, I will post, but until then, I picked up a S&W Shield in .40. Very nice little gun, will probably put some Trijicons on it.
You are finding the hard truth regarding carry. The old rule of "No gun to big to shoot or too small to carry." When able, I too carry a Commander or Sig 220. Usual carry is a Sig 239 and my "always" gun is a Sig290RS.
Well, I got the 1911 Bob-tailed today. Man, it feels SO good in the hand and carrying it IWB was a pleasure. Fusion Firearms makes the MSH, Novak rear sight and a Williams fiber optic bar up front. G10 grips and a Wilson checkered front strap piece round it out.
Welcome Correus, I DO like militaria and love your collection. Three WW1 firearms here, a 1915 P-08 with Imperial Acceptance marks, a 1917 built Colt 1911 and a November 1917 S&W 1917.
Yeah, but I screwed up. I saw the tag in the store saying Triple Lock, went brain lock, looked the bore and condition over, never realized it is actually a very early Second Model, not a Triple Lock. I know the differences, yeesh. Paid $1250 for it so i think I am still okay.
