dh66, that is a Lady's Gillette that uses regular double edge blades. They are excellent, well-balanced shaver for anyone.
Thanks for the info! I wondered if it might very been a ladies model, but then I thought...heck, it's blue. AND it's got to see starbursts. That's what really grabbed me. I normally use a Merkur about the same size, so I could tell it would be a good one.

Found in the ARF thrift store, Southampton, NY... Elkington & Co. silver coffee server marked "Mirage R.Y.S." - perhaps from a service for the Marquis of Ormonde's steam yacht Mirage. Ormonde was Vice Commodore of the Royal Yacht Squadron in the early1880s - the Commodore was the Prince of Wales Albert Edward, later to become King Edward VII. At least I think so...
