While Himel is not as discussed as Aero - likely due to the difference in output volume - he is still very well know here with more than enough information. We are not talking of a brand that is obscure to the forum. So I repeat: Aero are very clear in tthis aspect of their communication. Himel...
I agree, it would be very surprising if I were to misunderstand what Aero offers, they are very clear in tthis aspect of their communication. Himel is misleading.
Who knows if it would have been corrected or not?
But the fact remains that I would have still engaged due to their misleding...
No, it was not corrected, I did not order for other reasons. I only found out about the fake bespoke much later.
Yes, many people are naive, I would like to believe I am not. As stated earlier, the fact that I was misled by Himel but not Aero is relevant, is it not?
So far, I got what I...
As I said earlier, when I was considering a Himel, I was expecting a pattern to be made for me.
When I was ordering an Aero, I was expecting a pattern being tweaked.
See the problem?
And full disclosure, I own neither Himel and Aero for different reasons.
Taking this into account, it is...
A bit late to the party, but yes, when I was considering a Himel jacket, I was partly consdering it because it was advertised as bespoke. Otherwise I would have never even considered paying such a high price. So yes, claiming "bespoke" is fraud, I agree with @Aloysius .
So glad I did not fall...
I don't know about that exact description, but I did find their patterns to fit in a weird manner, all the weight was indeed on the neck. One of the reasons I do not own an Aero.
Same here, Simmons Bilt patterns fit me better than Aero. I did try both on several occasions at different body weights.
The Aero patterns werethe worst I have experienced in European/US makers.
Same feeling here, I was skiing last week and that was the only time I wore a fabric jacket lol
I had considered making a leather jacket with a sleeve pouch like Lewis leather but a bit bigger for the ski pass. Maybe a LW because they are so waterproof... but that is taking a bit too far lol
Honestly, looking at it, it is not such a bad fit. Sure it looks a bit too big but you still pull it off from what I can see in these pics. I would spend a bit more time with it to see if I can settle with it before selling it. What do you think?
That's the spirit! You sometimes have to adapt to the jacket! :D
Also, I also used to be irked by short sleeves, and ended up speccing quite a few jackets too long in the sleeves lol
Moral of the story, just wear it and have fun!
@Mawashi ,
Just saw this thread. You can pull off almost any style with your frame, just need to make it a decent fit - not perfect as some people look for, just decent - that's it. What really ruins patterns is not a slim frame such as yours - just look at all the Japanese brands and their fit...
