The 2019 Downton Abbey film. Wife and I humming and hawing about seeing the new one in the theatre, or waiting for Netflix. After re-watching the last one, I am leaning towards waiting. Enjoyable fluff, should save the ticket price for something else.
A legend in Canada, ironically not a Canadian, but Rompin' Ronnie Hawkins, rock and blues icon in Canada since the 1950s, has died, aged 87.
His band left him en masse in the late 60s, ironically to move south to the US. Becoming, yes, The Band, they woukd carve out a niche in music legend...
LOVE bith series. I was thrilled Bernard Cornwell's books were finally brought tk the screen. Ended up saddened when they rushed the ending, likely the cost of production.
I still need to finish Vikings myself. Canadian-Irish co-production, and I hope to own the series. Have 1 and 2 on BD.
We absolutely LOVE IT and are gagging for another series. Not every day that Nootka Sound on Vancouver Island is the MacGuffin (sp?) In a show or film!
Re-watched 1917 on Netflix. Saw it during its theatrical run, then again with the wife. We really like this film, and need to get it on blu-ray. Our internet comes in via waves and dish, and as it was raining and cloudy last night, the picture quality was rubish.
