The hat she is wearing is a telescope crown that I made for her last year and a custom stone hat bandband. She make the hat look better than it really is.

Use (Bulls Eye Clear Shellac) and denatued alcohol, the ratio you were using is ok, always shake well before spraying, I have used this many times, and works good. But use the brand Bulls Eye Clear Shellac.

I was hoping some of those old tools ( remakes) would either be used by hatters or some people would what some to have around by thier hats to show off.

I have given two people one a women and the other a man in the last three months , in my shop training to the best I could on hat making, even shared some info where to get this or that, one stayed 3 days and the other 1 full day, never charged a penny for it, I did ask alot of questions before...
I have to agree 100% with Art, over the years ( 5) I have had several people email me to make them a hat, and they wanted the ribbon like Art's, I always siad NO, that the ribbon combo he does is his handy work and the FL is his home turf, and they would get pissed at me and not order the hat...
I sent my very old wooden tool to the guy several years ago and he has started to remake them and sale them online, trust me if you want to curl several hat brims, then you will need this tool, it works, when I got mine, which is very old, maybe from the 20's I thought why did some one make this...
When we were on our walk thru and got this part in the plant, we were told that the Charlie 1 Horse line was it's to selling hat line, as you are aware they are all made of wool, and maybe a little tea cup of rabbit thrown in, we did not tour the body making plant, but I have held in my hands...

Get Ken to show ya'll the hat he made at the shop, it was a 100% hare and he pulled it on the block, sanded it, and set it on fire and sanded again. , it has a bound edge , I did help on that. It fit Rusty dead one the money.
Ask Ken, if pulling those hats on the blocks is easy?????
But...
I was looking at several western 100% naturals this evening at the shop all are little differant in the color, just a slight , but all are the naturals.
