The sleeves look fine, but the torso does look a little long to me. I think it would be worth getting it shortened about two inches.
And I mean it, the rest of the fit, the Z150 leather (which, correct me if I'm wrong is no lobger available...?) It's an awesome jacket all around, and it...
I’m not familiar with that specific tag, but I have a ‘68 peacoat made by Pembroke, they did fill government contracts.
I think it’s real, the collar looks right, the lining with the stencil, the stitches on the wrist. Even the excellent condition rings true, since I think the smaller sizes get...
Been there done that.
I’ve done the sleep in the leather jacket to break it in as well. It didn’t seem very effective, I think wearing in the rain does a better job. Or hit it with the plant mister if no natural rain is available.
Thanks for pointing that out, it would be a little like a game of telephone.
But man...
I didn't think a padded highwayman would be so controversial.
Now I’m pondering a padded Brando instead. I’m not married to the kidney stiffener, but I really dislike the single piece back on the Colorado...
The back of the Highwayman, I just like it. I like the two panels that let the shape be more fitted than the one single panel, I like the laces for adjustability, I like the full action back and the stiffened kidney panel.
But I'll think on this. It's just an idea for now...
What about...
And stock picks of the two coats.
This jacket here…
And the back
But with this shoulder quilting…
And this back yoke and elbow quilting…
So the yoke on mine would be a little narrower to fit within the full action back panels.
Let’s see if this posts…
I’d like to get a Highwayman with the quilting of the Colorado on the yoke, shoulders, and elbows.
Delete the epaulettes.
Probably/maybe shorten the front just a smidge, but not a super high priority.
I’d like to get this in a standard size, I’m not super tall or short.
This means adding...
Plus 400 dollar canvas Anoraks so add in “hipster bushcrafter” to the mix.
I’m a dad with a ton of woolen milsurp plus I do a bit of bushcrafting, this is aimed directly at me.
And completely misses.
I’m awestruck.
It’s like someone made fake thrift store finds and is selling them at 1000%...
Buffalo nickel buttons have a tradition of being used on biker cuts (the vest with the club patches) for long while. Looks like this is perfect for the 1%er who wants the buttons, but not the hassle of wearing two layers… ;)
My issue is that the belt is pulling the laces open when you cinch it down. The jacket is fighting itself.
The belt should go over the laces and connect to the kidney panel, so that tightening the belt is reinforcing the tightening of the laces.
Here is a profesional artists rendering… :)
All the fox creek “Classic 1” models are like this. I don’t know about the Natel but I don’t think they made customs. Vanson and Langlitz don’t make models with both lacing and an attached belt. They make laced jackets with either belt loops or no belt loops.
I haven’t seen this on Schott...
The belt is attached so it's pulling on the laces? Why???
Why not just make the belt a couple inches longer and stitch it to the back side of the laced panel so it's pulling the laces closed?
Is there a practical reason for this that I'm not seeing?
These are two shots of the Fox River Classic...
I have a bunch of gear, and a few pairs of leather riding pants.
I tend to think of riding as two types. If I’m riding and the purpose is “the ride” I have fully perfed sport riding pants for both weekend fun, highway speeds, or longer trips.
But also some plain leather over pants that zip up...

Size 38. BIN $280.00
I know it's not quite the "classic cool" jacket but I think it's dope. Waay too small for me, but if you're a leaner guy and into the rock star thing.
It'd go great with some mirror aviators and big hair, maybe a mohawk.
I'm a...
The Bro!
The Manssiere!
I'd think if you wore a thickish shirt like a henley, sprayed the outside of the jacket down with a little water, and then slept in it, it would form to you just like any other break in process.
The runner's solution is bandaids, running a full marathon can abrade...
Can anyone tell me why there are sellers of Vanson jackets from Japan that are asking a 50% markup over what a jacket from Fallriver would cost?
I keep seeing these on EBay, a C2 or a Highwayman for around $1,200.00 when I can order a new one from the mother ship for $750.00?
What’s going on...
Also keep an eye out for vintage Hein Gericke. They made both sport rider and cruiser leather pants, very high quality. If you’re patient and keep searching EBay you can find a nice pair. You’ll need to sift through a lot of 80’s style pants to find a classic pair, but they’re out their.
