Still deciding between the smooth XL 23 and the rusticated Lestrade. They are the same shape, but the XL lacks the silver band of the Sherlock Holmes series.
Either way, the chosen will be filled with an English blend and smoked with my father, who is bringing his sandblasted Lestrade.
Sounds like you have a pretty nice Peterson collection going. The B 42 is one of my favorites. I have a house pipe and a pub pipe also, usually defaulting to the pub as the house so much bigger.
Weather has been bad here and I only smoke outside, so not much to report.
Aromatics are not usually much in my rotation but I received this along with a recent pipe order. Smoked in a Peterson spigot from one of the years when the green stain was a miserable failure. Tobacco not too bad.
Totally agree!
About a year ago I switched almost exclusively to berets for daily wear because they are so easy. They remove all of the hassle fedoras or westerns can present in modern wearing, and still look stylish.
I’d been wanting a canvas cap for a while and yours was just right.
I copied you and mine came today.
It still needs a bit of steam to knock out the packing wrinkles.
Actually, that sounds like a great idea. I can do that without significantly increasing their storage size. I’m going to try it right now on one and see how it goes.
Thanks!
You’ve made me think I should do something similar since my one complaint with my Elosegui berets is the hard edge on them from storing them stacked. I’ve often thought about stuffing them, but have never gotten around to doing it. Maybe someday.
Bob’s chocolate flake in a cob. Not as much Lakeland flavor as some of my other favorites, but very nice. Latakia drifts in and out throughout the bowl.
