    Thanks. In normal light they look chocolate brown but In sunlight the red tones really come out. I’ve always wanted a pair of brown suede desert boots but with my wide feet options are limited and I’ve balked at Church’s and Alden. These fill the niche pretty well.

    Since I am guilty of derailing this thread here, let me add a post to bring it back on track. I dyed these suede RM Williams to a mid brown, which will look much better with blue or white denim. My favorite summer outfit is suede boots, jeans and a Harrington jacket.

    Hmmm. I can do a fresh comparison tonight, but I would say the fit is about the same. The Dayton’s sole has less flex so they feel a little tighter when walking, but when standing still they feel very similar in size.
