My favourites are unsurprisingly the colourful ones :D
Nice collection here, curious to see where this goes, newtojackets also means that you can keep the fresh perspective of someone exploring the hobby which seems exactly what you are doing.
Thanks :D
I haven't worn it exclusively but have taken it on a few trips. It got a bit darker in some places and might have a bit more creases - not sure. I suspect it needs quite a few years to show some serious evolution. Love it though, and the pattern is just fantastic!
I would also take HH over deerskin for the motorcycle, but deerskin is not inferior in terms of leather, just different.
Je prendrais plutôt le cuir de cheval sur la moto, mais le cuir de cerf n'est pas inferieur en tant que tel, juste différent.
Customers sending hundreds of emails are a problem indeed. I would hope they are uncommon or rare. All makers have had to deal with this one way or another I’d guess. We have seen some examples in the past.
Other makers are offering full customs for less than double of what he charges or even...
You seem to be overthinking this... As a customer you are entitled to get your order as specced initially or get a valid reason/explanation as to why you did not get it. It not complicated.
I do not know whether Sam and Greg are good or bad, but that was a rotten thing to do to such a nice...
I get this point and I would have instantly rejected this at the point where Greg said he had not installed the crown zippers. It showed he really couldn't be bothered with making the jacket. But keep in mind that we are experienced in the hobby. Not sure the OP is, and that makes a big difference.
No matter how I look at it the zipper is a deal breaker. OP made the effort to educate himself about the zippers, source them, and then wait with baited breath to get such a disappointment.
Just saw this
The delays are one thing, but the zips are a breach of contract, and you are entitled some form of reparation. I would ask for a full refund; it is completely unforgivable. Sourcing zippers for a non-professional is quite the task, I have done it for jacket, and they were...
It is definitely a great experience! I would recommend you start figuring out from now what you want and then start refining your vision. The beauty of it is that JL will help you avoid any mistakes, they are good at turning all sorts of ideas into reality.
Thanks for posing your jacket here...
Depends where you are living I guess, in the US they asked me if I were a biker because I was wearing a perfecto. In other placesnobody batted an eyelid.
I would definitely wear such a cool jacket that fits well everywhere. :)
I did mention detailed pictures:
Sorry about the lighting variations
As you may have noticed, the leather used for the collar is different. By the time I thought of adding a collar, JL had already received the red bison and there was not enough for this addition. So Alan...
Where do we start? There's no point in doing a conventional review. Johnson Leathers is already well-known for their work, at least in this forum. They focus on delivering the best product possible without any fluff, exaggerated marketing, or false claims. The pictures will do a much better job...
Yes, forgot about that. I have been working on changing my posture for quite some time, it is not easy as it entails changing a lot of your habits.
Yes indeed, the hides came with a lot of variations and I am very happy with how they matched the panels. This is not the first time they impress...
Yes, noticed that, I'd either need a few centimetres less in the waist - which is taking more time than expected - or to open the back zips by a bit. That being said it is very comfortable for such a fit, I have no issues whatsoever raising my arms.
