That's how I learned not to do stupid stuff with the Tumble Dry machine and goat leather (Well with any leather for that matter. It became crispy as your example and I basically had to throw away the whole Eastman jacket.
Denim & Supply is a low tier cheap sub brand from RL, that jacket is not worth that at all. Just because of that the $500 price tag is quite funny but seeing it sold for 150€ first it's even more outrageous. Even the $245 are because he didn't do a single thing to the jacket.

The only concern when that happens is that you can price out your customer base. That has an effect on orders.
I’m sure that has happened with a few makers. Eastman Leather comes to mind, specially after Brexit.
The only reason why I don't wear a leather jacket when going out of home is because it's too warm, too cold or they just don't fit as comfortable as I would want.

It’s windproof and when done all up keeps your neck warm. Super comfortable and perfect for riding.
How did I live without a mouton collar all these years?

Don’t do anything. Yours will get like that in no time, stains like crazy.
If you don’t like patina stay away from Freewheelers deerskin. I rub my bald head or face then touch the leather and it gets stained.
Yahoo auctions and mercari are a gold mine. For some reason second hand garments from very expensive brands go for very low. Except certain ones like Freewheelers but even those sometimes can be had for under $1000 but it’s not worth with shipping and taxes/tariffs.
