these are Japanese made hardware with double pronged tacks that overlaps when hammered down with the riveting tool. I believe it's the same donuts they use with tellason/bravestar et al. what I want to find out is what the donut IH uses, those look super cool and a bit heavier duty
Looks like an ideal fit for me since I don't need to layer up and can get away with a tshirt for the most part of the year. That's a lovely shade of brown and the leather is just nice.
this leather will be a great option for an engineer, so will that engineer project have zippers for closure but retain the ankle strap and buckle for show?
I'll keep it to Gregs shinki offering that I have but I only have a swatch sample of the pony shinki so it's hard to really say (I'll get my own brown pony cross zip In the next 2-3 weeks though so I can answer it better then)
As far as thickness goes it's a solid 3-3.5oz, so the pony shinki...
thanks very much for your feedback! that helps a lot and noted on the pattern being made for being used on a bike, that makes a lot of sense and very good to know that they run larger than what's on the actual measurement. they have the rude black coming out for next year, I was hoping it would...
sure no problem, I'll post some photos of the brown & black jackets. Thanks very much, I appreciate the expertise!
I don't think a size 34 will work, the 19.7" chest on the 36 La Brea is already a concern for me since my preference is closer to 20.5" chest pit to pit. I sure hope a 36 fits...
I have an older brown Mulholland and I can wear a lightweight sweater/hoodie with it. The black Mulholland I have I can only wear with a tshirt because the armholes haven't stretched out and I haven't breaked the jacket in yet. I think the size 36 shoulder/body length measurement will work for...
the 36 Mulholland fits perfectly for me, the 36 La Brea seem to be too small in the chest with 19.7" pit to pit but if I go size up to a 38 then it will be 20.5" chest but it will have super wide shoulders/sleeves so maybe I shouldn't even consider this lol
@TheBigEraser @puiyc1203 just checking in with you guys if maybe you guys have friends who may have experience with Mulholland/la brea. if one wear a size 36 Mulholland, will that also be the same size 36 for a La Brea? I've been recommended by genco and speedway Sendai to keep to a size 36 but...
It's really good stuff the leather they used is top tier, thicker than any Maryam or Shinki Horsebutt I've worn. Pretty rich dark brown too, although if I had known there was an antique natural brown version Id probably get that one instead since it reminds me of the brown clinch ones. Went 1/2...
is that why most makers don't use French seams anymore? it really is nice to look at and it makes a big difference with the overlapping seam thickness and comfort especially around the shoulders
