Please kindly explain - I may be having a daft moment :). Would thought a chair, or on a wide hanger helps the inside (especially the sleeves) to dry faster to avoid mold setting in?
This Vanson Enfield in HH made its way from Taiwan 14 days ago and finally arrived in UK today! For a few days I’d thought it’d been lost in transit as parcel showed no tracking movement - phew!
Gave it a lukewarm wash in bathtub, lots of dirt came out… drip dried for 1hr then while still moist...
I’ve had this incredible jacket for a few months - I deep cleaned the leather of scruffs and marks, applied a layer of conditioner with white pigment, and a top coat of clear conditioner. I’ve worn it to all sorts of occasions and it surely turned heads!
Sadly, I have a strictly 3 jackets...
Thank you v much guys! That means it’s a keeper and one of my other jackets need to go!!
I couldn’t resist the temptation to soak/wash it in bathtub. It dries very fast and I’ll shortly give it a coating of conditioner.
Some teacore showing through as well!
I’m also surprised it’s not fully broken in given it’s age - I actually planned to soak wash the who jacket in bathtub and give it a good feeding afterwards.
This brings me to another point - don’t think I’ve ever handled a fully broken in HH jacket in my life yet!
Thanks to a fellow lounger in Taiwan - this heavyweight Vanson Enfield in HH arrived today. It’s size 42 so too big for me (40), but I knew this when buying it and plan to layer thick jumpers underneath this jacket when it gets really cold. Plan to get a mouton collar made for it as well.
I put...
Some like it thick n heavy!
Ever since I got a Samurai Jeans monster belt earlier this year - I’ve been wanting to buy a pair of heavy denim shorts to go with it. And yes I’m a shorts person for temps higher than 18 Celsius and I pair shorts with heavy HH MC jackets ;)
The heaviest I could...
Thanks! I actually thought about selling this CR several times - BUT each time I put it on I feel it’s almost tailored for me except perhaps the sleeves are 1/2” longer than ideal.
3 years ago I had much larger waist and no way I could squeeze in this jacket. I had fatty liver diagnosis and...
Well said about HH jackets - it's a journey I'd compare to Japanese martial arts black belts. I've seen the belts on a 3rd dan (or 3rd degree black belt) or higher grade start to wear out and the white core becomes visible on the edges where the knot is tied hundreds or even thousands of times...
If not too late to return/exchange it, I’d suggest trying to swap it with size 44. If that turns out to be terribly snug, then exchange to 46. The jacket you have now looks like 2 sizes larger on the back.
In my 30s I had a jacket that was one size bigger and I loved it - it was my biggest motivation for doing bench presses but I eventually gave up lol! A decade later I finally gained like 1/2 size chest not from bench press but wearing a 25KG vest and do 50-100 press ups!
So yes it could be an...
Whilst I don’t own a G1 or any flight jackets, it looks to me the back has too much material especially around the waist, when zipped up. The front looks totally fine though.
Thank you for everyone's replies on my naive question. True most new/near new aero jackets on secondary market are made from CXL HH or SH, but I do see the occassional ones in Baladassi, Vincenza or Pinnacle, or even goatskin.
There is of course not a single cause but I gather: 1) pattern...
Catch & Release - I absolutely love how this jacket is tailored and the craftsmanship is top notch - but it turned out the 26" sleeves coupled with the 19.5" shoulders, are just a tad too long for me.
Up for grabs at the same price £275 plus shipping (£10 for UK, other countries please get in...
