Thanks for suggestion. As I look at jackets, it seems most don't have a brand tag. Would you steer clear of these jackets and only go for jackets that you can confirm their brand? Here's a perfect example...

Probably the best measurement would be arm pit to arm pit, with the jacket full zipped, laying flat, without wrinkles. I certainly don't mind a jacket a little too big versus too small.
