    Going Atomic With Dalton

Thanks, barring any updated dating information I guess it's safe to assume that any non-Dalton His Excellency hats were made sometime between 1952 and 1964.

    Going Atomic With Dalton

Some more background information on Men's Hats, Inc. below as posted by Neophyte in the AAQGAA thread ... "M.S. Levy and Sons merged with the New England Panama Hat Company and Brigham Hopkins Co. in 1939, operating under the name of Men's Hats, Inc.. The business was prominent in both the...

    Going Atomic With Dalton

Your Dalton has an "E" in the eagle's chest. My Men's Hats "His Excellency" also has it but it seems that the non-His Excellency hats that have an eagle have a "D" instead.

    Going Atomic With Dalton

I think I cracked the mystery ... my hat was produced by Men's Hat, Inc after they bought Dalton in 1952 per nebo's post in this thread several years ago.

    Going Atomic With Dalton

Here you go, the label under the sweatband states it was produced by Men's Hats ... as nebo posted years ago in this thread, "there is a mention in the April 17th, 1952 Herald Statesman from Yonkers that Harry Siegelbaum sold the company to "Men's Hats" of Baltimore, MD." It seems like I may...

Its hard for me to tell from that last photo but I think your hat has a DH in the crest above "His Excellency", no?

    Going Atomic With Dalton

Indeed, I believe it was TheLostCowboy that determined his "His Excellency" was made by Dalton, which seems to be accurate given what I have seen but mine might be an exception.

    Going Atomic With Dalton

I think what I was trying to convey was that recent research has "His Excellency" hats as being made by Dalton but mine might be an exception given what I pointed out. If that's true, then the logical next question is who produced these hats?

    Going Atomic With Dalton

I just noticed something very interesting about the Eagle crest in my hat lining ... it has an "E" in the middle instead of a "D" (see photo below). Thoughts?

    The Berg Ballroom

I have not seen a dedicated Berg hat appreciation thread on this forum so figured I would get the ball rolling by posting a couple pictures of my Homburg.

    The Dobbs Diner...

Here is a Dobbs Golden Coach I rarely wear because it's 7 1/2 size is a bit big for my 7 1/8-7 1/4 noggin' ... based on what I have read here, my best estimate is that it's from the 1960's.
