I like the Appalachian a lot I could live with the back length it would just touch the top of my belt but not the sleeve length an inch too short for my minimum sleeve length to be comfortable.

It's another Vertical Zip Map Pocket -- an under-appreciated design that I happen to be a fan of. I wish that one of the top makers would introduce a modern reproduction of this.

How can you go wrong for the price if this is your size?

The 21” shoulder measurement scares me. And I’m really trying to only buy jackets that initiate some sort of pathological and irrational “I must purchase this now or it’s the end of the world” response. But then the little devil in my head repeats what you just said and throws off my chi.
