Not a deal, maybe a find? Hell if I know. Read the description— I guess collar snaps were a bridge too far on this $25,000 build.

Gotta love the comment “copied it off a jacket I bought from Tom (Cruise)”As if 1. That’s true? 2. Even if it is who cares? 3. You didn’t buy this one off him.
4. Tom with Cruise in parenthesis as if they are on a first name basis with him
Or “you have to ride a killer bike to pull this off.” Or however they worded it as I don’t feel like going back to look haha.

Yes! He probably took that picture in front of the mansion while on a celebrity bus tour.

This is exactly the same style as my new sheepskin lined trucker. Must be this very jacket they selected for a repro.

The seller has a sheepskin lined one too.

Regarding Police jackets------I have a really cool one that is a size too small for me that I have been trying to research the age and maker of. It is without its label. After months and months today, I finally found one just exactly like it on eBay. Mine is exactly this same jacket with a different main zipper (mine is a Talon---I believe both jackets have replacement main zips) and a different liner. I keep hoping my Covid Sheltering in Place with Donuts weight increase is the only thing keeping me from fitting in this jacket I have but I fear I will have to sell it for being too small for me.

Anyway, here is the same jacket I have.

For those who know/own police jackets, what do you make of this one?? Any idea of age or maker?? This seller has it as a 40s piece which I don't think is accurate. Button cuffs, no action back. The leather on these is awesome. I hate having to part with such a cool jacket. I'm still interested in its history though. Any takes out there??

This is the tree pocket Cal I posted in the "Cal Leather" thread

Huh. I totally missed that is was for sale. It’s gone now. At $310 I would’ve snatched it up in a second, but at size 40-42 I doubt it would have fit. That’s the only thing keeping me from crying right now.

Even the actual seller has no idea what brand it is.

Yeah his is also unlabeled. I was just seeing if anyone here in the lounge might recognize the jacket and its maker. I haven't handled a lot of police jackets. I have a few but not this old. I know a few members have more experience with them so I was hoping someone might know something.

Certain aspects such as the button cuffs and the traditional, non bi-swing/action back may suggest the jacket is an older vintage but I don't think its as old as the 40s. I could be wrong.

Thanks for posting that Buyee listing. There is more detail from the seller in that listing than the eBay listing.

I need to give my jacket like this one a good cleaning but its likely going to have to be offered for sale if I can't fit into it. You will very possibly see it here in the Classifieds in the future.
