This could be a hat that was returned by a customer after trying unsuccessfully to stretch it & found it's way all boxed in the store room & sent to you without it being checked first. As you're getting a replacement, all's well that ends well.

That is the most plausible explanation I've heard. Makes sense.

Fed, I figured I was going to. Although, if upon receipt, they examined it and determined that it was negligence or oversight on their part, it would be stellar if they offered to cover that and the cost of shipping out a replacement.

We're sort of in a pinch aren't we. I mean, where else could one purchase a Fed IV Deluxe and have it delivered in under 2 weeks out of inventory? For that matter, the Campdraft Deluxe.

Replacement received!

I recently received my replacement Fed IV Deluxe Moonstone. Along for the ride came another Campdraft Deluxe, also in Moonstone. The color just works well with my wardrobe. Both items are brand new, perfect, fresh from the factory. Ready for bashing and wearing. Trudi and HatsDirect have made it right and I'm satisfied with the outcome.

Its a good idea but I'm pretty sure after this past experience they would make darn sure they got it right. Just got my Tawny Fed Imperial grade from them and Trudi and Naomi both did real right by me in choosing the right hat. Asked them to "Cherry Pic" me a nice one and they did. Yours look great. Straight sides. Nice n fat crowns.

A great pair of Moonstones there, Ginseng!
While I have had a little hiccup with HD in the past, Trudi was excellent and I would say their customer service is amazing in this day and age.
They say that you only know how good a business is when there is a problem and based on my experience and the experience that other loungers have had, then hats direct is one of the best out there.
I'd not hesitate to buy from them again.
