The credit is due to "Weird Al" Yankovic. If you liked the one verse I posted, check out the whole song. It's great. lol

It's going to be upper 90s/lower 100s here for the next three days so I just made a bicycle run to Safeway this morning to stock up on Hagan Daas (coffee & strawberry) and Drumsticks (vanilla caramel)!

Mmmmmmmmmmm --- orange sherbet! Haven't had that in years -- but in my younger days I could very easily eat an entire half gallon at one sitting!

lol I could do that now! My only drawback, the guilt!

In Maine?! :( I'd been considering moving north at some point, to escape it... On-topic: Do Ice Cream Sanwiches count? (Moist chewey chocolate crust with that creamy, delicious vanilla inside...)

Mom would get one for me almost daily when I was a kid, after we had lunch & went out to the park, from The Pantry down the street. Funny, I've eaten them rarely since then, but when I do sometimes I'll remember little details from back then that I'd long forgotten, like the Asteroids video game they had at the store then... lol guess maybe it's more about "enjoying the experience" to me than the ice cream itself.

Ahh, the ice cream sandwich, the meat an potatoes of any childhood summer diet. I liked the ones that used real cookies as the 'bread' and were 2 inches thick! and were stone cold!. They would take an hour to finish! :D

Ahh, the memories . . .

Magneto thanks for reminding me about It's It, now I'll have to run to the store and get a box!

My favorite ice cream is coffee or peppermint, the pink kind. I also love the soft serve at Dairy Queen, dipped.

Give me some good quality orange sherbet, and nobody gets hurt :)
As a Frisco kid, I must also pledge allegience to the wondrous It's It ice cream sandwich (Oatmeal cookie ice cream sandwich with a thin chocolate shell).

Stider, your lyrics had me giggling! lol

I'd have to agree with the nice lady yet again (btw M, 10 more points up) my mom loved Orange Sherbet but the It's It's ice cream no matter HOW messy it got was one of my loves. The other surprisingly was Cookies and Cream. I loved making it at home and haven't done it since I was a kid. Loard's Ice Cream had THE BEST but I alas I haven't been there in awhile either.

I wish I could scream for ice cream! :p Being lactose intolerant, it's just not worth eating the stuff....I'm stuck to soy ice cream...which really, just isn't the same!:(

I must post a vote for water ice (that's Italian ice if you, due to tragic circumstance, live outside the bounds of "wooder ice":p ) and soft-serve chocolate frozen custard.

Mmm, frozen custard.
