...I thought about it and realized, that we got 2019 and many of these mommies are younger than me...

I don't have to think about it I know in advance that most mothers with young children are younger than me.

I'm at the age when most of the mothers I encounter are approximately my age and their daughters are the "younger mommies" Trenchfriend is referring to. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Not worried, just a little irritated because of the fact and the situation to help heaving a Kinderwagen in the railcar, for the first time. You know what I mean. Touching a "buggy" first time after circa 32 years.

It's not you. The rubber bushings in the trucks have dried out and gotten hard, allowing either no turning, or really floppy trucks, depending on adjustment.

Wish I had that excuse. Stepped on a brand new one in TK Maxx a few months ago, needed help getting off it. Similar experience gonig ice-skating for the first time in thirty odd years last year. I think my sense of balance ./ centre of gravity may have changed....

Been there. About 15 years ago I tried showing my kid's (in their early teens at the time) how to "pop a wheelie" on a Schwinn Sting-Ray bike I had just purchased to restore. Ended up on my ass in a blink of an eye. They thought it was hilarious...
