I actually fell asleep once in the bathtub while pregnant- not "falling asleep"- I was totally asleep and likely was snoring. Thankfully I woke up when my mouth hit the water. Saved by snoring.

Sometimes depending on how tired I am or the position in bed.

I snore.

I know because my throat is sore and dry as if I ate the Sahara sands.

And in my "yute" when I smoked cigarettes, my mouth was dry as if I
ate the Sahara sands with camel droppings!

Toothbrushing and mouth wash helps afterwards.
But it's horrible to wake up with a dry aching throat.

Sometimes depending on how tired I am or the position in bed, I snore. I know because my throat is sore and dry as if I ate the Sahara sands.

My snoring is due to a slightly malformed jawbone that causes my jaw to drop open when I sleep. I too get that dry mouth, a bedside glass of water is a must. The mouth breathing also causes a furring of the tongue which, no other way of putting this, makes my breath stink. There was a time when the lovely lady would say, "Ooh, darling, your breath's a tad strong." Nowadays she holds her nose and says, "Go and clean your teeth, dog's breath." Subtle or what?

I had surgery to "fix" it when I was in my early-20s, and afterward the doctor told me the bones in my sinus passages "looked like a roller coaster" and that it was so bad he was surprised I could breathe through my nose at all. The surgery improved things for a few years, but I've always had sinus problems. So I snore.

I'm sure there are times when my wife would like to give that a try, but I could say the same for her. A close friend who has heard us both snoring at one time or another stated quite definitively that my wife snores louder than I do...but don't tell anyone.

My wife is deaf, so any snoring I may do is a non issue. She, on the other hand, does a pretty good imitation of a chain saw.

Regretfully there's only one local book shop left.
And the contents of what's available are not as good as in the past.

There was a time, when I would spend almost an entire day in old
buildings with high ceilings, wood floors and deep basements with
books scattered all over even on the floor.
I loved the odor of old paper, books, magazines or newspapers.
But then, I also love the aroma of WD-40, wood matches, old
Texaco lube cans that still have the contents.

I used to frequent a used book store, creaky wooden floors, book shelves from floor to ceiling, basement to attic. They have just recently closed and gone to internet sales. Barnes and Noble is the only book store around these days.
