You know you are getting old....
When you cannot log in to the forum because you aren’t able to enter the correct password.

And you realize that “forgot your password?” does not mean that you will be able to retrieve
your forgotten password.

On the contrary, you now have to create a new password & old ones will not be accepted.

At times you lay awake nights wondering how long before you run out of passwords.

But soon after, you forget that you forgot & the whole thing starts all over again. :(

I tell you, I'm more then ever happy now, that I kept all the mull-stuff from my older (car)-first-aid-box, after substitute the box with a newer, in January! So, first time in my life, I've done self-bandaging. Feels good and I think, this will work. I don't think, that anything is broken in my ankle. I guess, it's a "stretched ligament". We will see.

It’s probably a sprained or pulled ligament.
If you had a broken ankle, you wouldn’t be able to put any weight on your foot
and would require more than a do-it-yourself bandage.

The worse thing I did when I had a similar condition was to wrap the ankle
with “elastic” bandages & continued playing in a tennis match.
The healing process took much longer....:(

Viel Glück !

Some minutes ago, I was hobbeling slow and carefully to drugstore, just around the corner, buying one of these quadratic cooling-packs.

My first one. 99 Cent.
I think, it's better, to have one at home.

You have a problem so you think, I will ask an old timer but you can't find one. Then you know, you are the old timer now.
Shortly after my mom passed away in 2004 I realized she had been the last of the adults that I looked to for guidance and such during my formative years. Dad, aunts, uncles, an older brother, my wife's parents...all gone. With this realization came the thought, "Well, it's all on you now, moron. Don't screw it up."

Come to think of it, this would be appropriate for the Your Most Disturbing Realizations thread. :D

When you type out a long reply about what you had for dinner, and post it on the What's For Breakfast thread.
I edited it before anyone read it. :p
If you hadn't deleted it you could always claim that you were on a European vacation, we are anything between five and eight hours ahead of you.

Further, I was underways, some minutes ago and before driving home, I thought: Wait! Drugstore got these balms ("horse-balms", generally mountain-arnika) or sport-salves (with Arnika, too). So I returned to shopping-center and looked, what is offered.
Finally, I took a tube of "medicine sport-salve" from storebrand (with Arnika and so on). We will see. You have to rub the position three times a day and only maximum one week long!

When you feel you can say or do things because you are older now.
Things that you probably wouldn’t have when you were younger.

When you hear people express ideas that they think are original
or new but you know that you also had the same ideas when you
were their age.
And you feel at times frustrated when you try to help but it falls
on deaf ears.
It pains you because you know, having been there before of
the consequences.

And you come to the realization that when you were their age,
there was someone older who tried to help but you paid no
never mind because you knew it all. They didn’t know what was
going on.

But as the years went by you discovered how smart they had
become.

And so it goes...

They are going to go & do as they feel
is right & suffer the consequences.

Got it! Cool.
