You know what really shocks? Finding out someone you know who's ten years older than you is now a *great-grandparent.*
I work with a group of young people through a school organization. I don't live in the town where I grew up. I just found out by chance that a girl in that group who will be a senior next year is the granddaughter of a fellow that was in my high school at the same time I was. What a revolting discovery that was.

Finding this lady's name proved impossible, I would loved to have given her credit. Just watch her shock the audience as she dances with her great grandson.

Beware of youtube video titles. ;)
Her name is Sarah Patricia Jones, AKA 'Paddy', she was born in Stourbridge, (England) on July 1st, 1934. She moved to Spain in 2001 & took up Flamenco dancing & then Salsa. The fella she dances with is, Nicolás "Nico" Espinosa, her dance instructor. There's plenty of info on her on the net.

Step into Wayback Machine, set it for 1969 (a full half century), and listen to some guy on acid predict that in 50 years The Rolling Stones will postpone their North American tour while Mick Jagger undergoes and recovers from open-heart surgery.

Mick has been quoted several times over the years as saying, "I'd rather be dead than singing 'Satisfaction' when I'm 30 [or 35, or 40, or 45, or...pick an age]," so in 1969 he would probably have been the strongest disbeliever, likely believing The Stones wouldn't last that long.

It borders on blasphemy in some quarters to say this, but I haven’t heard anything new from the Stones worth the time it takes to listen to it in a good 30 years or more.

That Super Bowl performance several years back just sucked.

Their tour this year includes a stop at a stadium maybe 12 miles from the place I sleep at night. I might attend if I were given a ticket, but even then I might take a pass on it. I’m familiar with an otherwise sensible fellow who shelled out 800 bucks for a pair of prime seats. This guy is maybe three years older than me, has had his health scares, as has his wife, and thanks to wildly escalating real estate values he’s now a millionaire, on paper, anyway. I hope he enjoys the show.
